Cavalcade Charades
by Anthony Salandy
A deformation of progressive codes
Is lost to obfuscated jargon
And simplified communication
Or rather bastions of banal idolatry,
A soothing odour to deities mistaken
And hidden behind pixelated gates
Cruel, Where vile life dwells
In resplendent betrayal
A sumptuously concocted fallacy
Of bureaucratic effectivity,
A contraceptive to the human spirit
Where dishonourable discharge
Is deposited in accounts many,
Ravished by detritus commentary
In cavalcade procession dystopian,
But generosity is lost
As are bygone tendencies
That upheld genuine human spirit
Led astray by demagogues in plain sight.
